General enhancements

We made some improvements to our Event Recorder, sped up sound mixing by using a faster OPL3 AdLib sound chip emulator, and added support for yet another installer type, so it is easier to run the games without the requirement of running their original installer.

Engine bugfixes and improvements

Seventeen engines were enhanced and improved. Sanitarium got walking sounds fixed; Another World now has better compatibility with big-endian systems; the GLK engine got support for some ZX Spectrum games. We finally completed the Hopkins engine by implementing its shooter mini-game (based on a small engine similar to Wolfenstein 3D). Kyra engine got automap in EOB games, and Korean fan translations of Legend of Kyrandia are now supported. A long-standing bug with pathfinding in Lure of the Tempress has been fixed. Also, we fixed a handful of bugs in Riddle of Master Lu; it makes it not an easy task, since all the game logic is hardcoded and not in scripts. Might and Magic got several facelifts, crash fixes, and small QoL improvements. Nancy engine is on the roll, and we fixed bugs in already supported games, on top of six announced in this release. Even the SCUMM engine got its C64 and early Windows HE titles compatibility improved. We added MT-32 support to the TsAGE engine, and fixed deadlocks in the V-Cruise engine games.

Port improvements

Atari port got optional integration with the nFM sound library.

The complete and comprehensive changelog can be found in the release notes.

The port builds will follow shortly; for now, you can enjoy the Windows, macOS (including PPC!), Dreamcast, Haiku and OpenDingux releases.
